Situated on the outskirts of Chennai city (32 km), the sprawling 1, 265 acre (510 hectare) Anna Zoological Park is said to be one of the biggest in South Asia. The park has a rich population of tropical mammals, birds and reptiles amongst others. It is situated about 25 Kms from Chennai on the Chennai Chenglepet GST .The nearest railhead is Vandalur (1km).
