Kerosene direct subsidy - Central government plan to get this also in Bank saving account!

Central government has decided to credit the subsidy for kerosene into the bank savings account of the consumer as was done for cooking gas subsidy.
As informed by the central Petroleum Minister, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, in the 1st phase of this plan, it will be carried out in 25 districts
He informed that discussions with the state governments were under way to implement this plan in 25 districts during the 1st phase.
The plan is scheduled to be introduced before 31st March.
The aim of this scheme is not to reduced the consumption of kerosene. Instead, it is all about ensuring the consumers, especially, the poorer section of the society getting the right quantity.
Instead of the current procedure to procure kerosene subsidy in a long-term contract, the system of procuring kerosene at the prevailing market-rate will be encouraged.
Central government has also informed that under the scheme of credit of subsidy of cooking gas to the consumers’ bank savings account, 4 Crore fake consumer accounts have been identified. Rs. 10000 Crores has been saved.
