Coffee production in India to surge

As there is adequate rainfall which is boosting the crop prospects, India is set to reach a new peak of producing 3,55,600 tonnes of coffee and lead in production this year, say reports from the coffee board. A coffee year is the month between October and September.
The coffee production this year between 2015-16 is likely to be 3,55,600 tonnes. This is higher by 28,600 tonnes compared to the previous year 2014-15.
Out of this total, Arabia production will be of 1,10,300 tonnes in 2015-16 which is 98,000 in the existing year.
