Boarding Passes for flight-ticket holders at Chennai Metro Rail Central Station

Chennai Metro Rail station is a grand 2-tiered construction in true international style.
A facility to issue boarding passes to flight-ticket holders is being planned. Apart from the issue of boarding passes, the flight passengers complete other formalities like checking, etc.
The luggage booked by the passengers will be sent to the airport from Chennai Central Metro Railway Station.Passengers are indeed delighted to receive this great news!
A Chennai Metro official spoke on this regard: we expect that flight passengers will use the metro train for reaching the airport when the service gets started. Hence, in order to facilitate them, we will receive the flight passengers luggage, book and check, and send them to the airport. We have discussed with Chennai Airport authorities on this proposal and they have accepted the same.
Thus, an airport authority`s office will be set up in Chennai Metro Central Station. Counters will be formed for the different airline companies for issue of boarding pass.
Thus, the passengers can hand over their luggages for checking and booking at the station itself by depositing them at the counters. They will arrange to send the luggage to the airport and then to the relevant flight.
As the passengers are already provided with the boarding passes, they can head straightaway to the plane.
It is expected that this facility will be another great incentive for the flight passengers to use the Metro Rail system.
