Water woes to be met soon by municipality

Recently, in areas including Nehru Nagar, Pallavaram and areas surrounding it, water contamination was observed. These areas were visited by the chairman of Pallavaram municipality K M R Nissar and he assured to solve the problem at the earliest. There are complaints from the neighborhood that the contamination of groundwater may be due to the leakage of petrol from the filling station present nearby. Speaking about this, a local activist and a resident o Pallavaram area said municipality officials visited an apartment complex and promised that the issue of contamination will be fixed very soon. It was also added that the owner of petrol station need to supply tank water to the residents every day until the issue is solved.
