Last date for application for Central Research Scholarship extended till 31st December

Central Government, as a measure towards encouraging the higher education and research study of economically backward students, has been offering various avenues of financial assistance through different agencies like UGC (University Grants Commission) every year.
The deadline for applying for this year`s research scholarships has been extended.
Actually, the deadline for getting central scholarship for the academic year 2015-16 is already expired.
However,. UGC has announced that it has extended the deadline for applications for advanced research till 31st December.
Deadline for the last date for application of Master Research scholarship for women (higher grade research), Master Research Scholarship for SC/ST students, Research financial assistance for retired professors, and research scholarships in the fields of Sociology and Psychology has been extended.
Under this scholarship scheme, a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 38,800 per month is offered. From the 3rd year of research activities, the amount will be Rs. 46500/- per month.
It is worth noting that the candidates should have completed Ph. D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in the related fields to be eligible for these scholarships.
