Poompuhar handicraft exhibition inaugurated

Poompuhar handicraft exhibition being organized by Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. was inaugurated by Rural Industries and Labour Minister P Mohan at Kalakshetra Foundation, Thiruvanmiyur.
The Poompuhar exhibition has an exotic collection of heritage items like brass oil lamps and bronze icons. The exhibition had on display, a large collection of brass deities, ornately etched lamps of all shapes and sizes, incense plates and other assorted temple utilities and beautifully carved, brass inlaid tables, stools etc. Exhibits on display include stone and wooden sculptures and Panchaloha idols.
Handicrafts such as paperwork and other wooden toys will also be on display at the exhibition.
The exhibition will be up to 31st January. Timings: 10 A M to 8 P M
