The Tamil Nadu health department is all set to add a new dimension to it with the launch of bike ambulances in the state from today. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha will today be launching 108 medical bike ambulances.
Aimed at reducing deaths due to road accidents, the trauma care initiative will help circumvent heavy traffic which holds up regular ambulances and deliver quicker first-aid.
