BSNL Wi-Fi facility at 4 more locations in Chennai

Wi-Fi facility serves to provide internet connectivity in places where wire-carried internet facility is not available.
Chennai BSNL has introduced Wi-Fi facility in important places in Chennai city where people gather in large numbers.
Currently, it setting up thus Wi-Fi facility in 4 more locations in Chennai Metro City.
The Chief General Manager of Chennai Telephones, Ms. Kalavathy informed that Wi-Fi facility is being introduced shortly in Flower Bazaar Bus Stand, Mylapoer Park, K K Nagar where government offices are located, and Vandalur Zoological Park.
The General Manager further informed that 25 more locations are being selected to introduce Wi-Fi facility.
It must be mentioned here that Wi-Fi facity introduced in Mahabalipuram has turned out to be hugely popular.
This Wi-Fi facility will enable communicaytion exchange in a circle of 200 metres. The internet speed will be between 8 to 10 MBPS.
Locations are selected with the criterion that they are places where people gather in large numbers.
Chennai BSNL has decided to extend this Wi-FI facility in areas such as Shopping Malls and other entertainment centres in Chennai.
BSNL Modem facility has been introduced with a price of Rs. 1500/-. A special concession is offered where Rs. 100/- will be deducted from the monthly bill.
