WhatsApp update for Android

WhatsApp is all set to roll out an update for Android users. Reports have said that the new update will bring about some changes in the Settings menu, a new layout and better icons being part of it. The APK file of the new update can be downloaded from the APK Mirror website. The update will be available on the WhatsApp website and Google play Store shortly.
The profile settings options will now be placed under the settings menu on top. It will also display the user`s profile picture. The profile picture itself will be inside a circular frame. Users can change the image by clicking on a floating action button.
The new update also has a Data Usage feature. This will enable users to control apps manually. Users can also opt to download files when on WiFi, ensuring that the mobile data usage is lesser.
The option named Chats and Calls will now be called Chats. It can be found under the Data Usage tab. Additionally the payment option tab will be taken away from the Settings menu.
The new update comes close at the heels of an update that was released last week. The last update added a document feature which enabled users to share PDF files.
