ISRO to help in the search for missing IAF plane

Following the disappearance of the IAF Plane AN-32 which left for Andaman at 8.30 AM on Friday, 22nd July, full-fledged activities are underway for locating it.

So far, the fate of the 29 military personnel in the flight is not yet known.

An FIR has been registered in the Selaiyur Police Station regarding the missing plane. The station inspector has started enquiries with the officers at the Indian Air Force Base at Tambaram regarding the An-32 plane and the 29 military personnel.

The coast guard has informed that the search activities are in full swing as the sky had been clear yesterday (Sunday, 24th July) without any clouds. 

Help has been sought from ISRO in searching and locating the missing plane.

Indian Navy Eastern Region Head Mr. Bisht, while discussing with the press reporters at Delhi, informed that ISRO’s help has been sought for the search. With the help of the satellite photographs given by ISRO, it would be easier to locate the missing plane. More ships have been deployed in the search.

IAF Planes, helicopters, and Coast Guard ships are being deployed in the search for the missing plane.
