It is discovered that there is large quantity of gas found along Indian ocean. In a recent research conducted by Indian Oil and Gas Ministry and US Geological survey, this discovery is made.

According to research report, a dense, humongous gas ice bar is found in frozen state in the bay of Bengal. This is for the very first time that such a discovery of gas is found in the Indian ocean. An American news agency has stated that it is possible to source fuel from this.

Hydrate is a fuel found in nature. This will be mostly found in polar regions along with ice cubes. In September 2014, India agreed to discover hydrate gas resources in India. Following this, a few places were selected for the research and the discovery is now made.

This fuel in liquid state is valuable more than natural resources. This will get formed in the sea. It is estimated that there will be about 1,894 trillion cubic meter, especially in western, eastern and Andaman and Nicobar island regions.

This natural resource discovered in the Bay of Bengal region will benefit to meet fuel needs across the globe. However, the fuel need to be extracted with utmost care, according to the coordinator of US Geological survey.

This research will further be continued by inspecting sand and how far it will benefit the country financially.
