Hyundai unveils luxury sedan, Elantra

Here comes Elantra from Hyundai. The car manufacturer has unveiled its up-to-the-minute luxury sedan priced Rs 12.99 lakh at ex-showroom in Delhi. The price is likely to be revised in December this year.
 
In this model, the Hyundai car, Elantra has Fluidic 2.0 design language. The drastic changeover in this new model is its massive angular front grille coming with chrome accents. The headlamp is stunningly stylish and has boomerang shaped daytime light. The side profile of the car also gives it a sporty finish with the final lines added. Its tail lamps are quite similar to that of its i20 model.
 
Elantra comes with two engine variants: 2 litre petrol and 1.6 litre VGT CRDi diesel engine. They will be enabled for 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
 
This engine fueled by Petrol delivers power of 152 PS and 192nm torque, whereas with the diesel engine, the output power is 128 PS and 260 nm torque. According to what Hyundai claims, Elantra with manual transmission can deliver 15km drive per litre of petrol and 22.5km per litre of diesel. In case of automatic transmission, it can deliver, 18km per litre.
 
Reverse parking camera with sensors, ESC, Hill Start Assist, Dual airbags with ABS and EBD ensuring safety, and Vehicle stability management are some of the noteworthy features in terms of electronics. There will be 6 airbags with the top variant.
 
Skoda Octavia that recently got a revamp in design, Toyota’s Altis, and Volkswagen’s Jetta are some of the direct competitors to Elantra. Hyundai is already enjoying success with its Creta model. The car manufacturing giant is awaited to see how Indian audience will receive the car.
