Posted on: 25/Aug/2016 4:00:36 PM
Reliance Jio rolled out a 4G preview offer using which users can have free access to 4G internet, voice calling, video calling, and SMS valid for 90 days. Now, this is opening up for other smartphones including Alcatel, TCL and Asus. Initially, this offer was made available only to LYF branded phones, but it later got extended to Samsung and LG, and again continued on to Panasonic, Micromax, and YU smartphones. This is also officially confirmed by Reliance Jio. So, now, Reliance Jio will get supported in over 9 smartphone brands.

When anyone buys 4G smartphone in any of these nine smartphone brands, they can approach Reliance Digital Store or Digital Xpress Mini Store, or any other smartphone retail store in the country to get the SIM. Identity proof, address proof, and passport size photos are required for getting the new SIM. Once they submit the KYC form, they will get 4G Reliance Jio SIM when they buy smartphone. In maximum of 48 hours, the user will get an SMS after purchasing the SIM. This will indicate that the SIM is ready for tele-verification.

Now, dial 1977 from your Jio SIM and have all the submitted documents handy. You will need to give out the last four digits present in the ID submitted. Upon this tele-verification, you will receive a message confirming activation of service and you can then enjoy using your free Jio service.

Do you know how Jio’s 4G-LTE can benefit you?
  • Unlimited HD voice and video calls
  • Unlimited messages
  • Unlimited high speed internet services
  • Free Jio premium mobile apps including JioPlay, JioBeats, JioXpressNews, JioSecurity, JioOnDemand giving access to movies, TV shows, live TV; JioMags, JioMoney, etc
The preview offer on Jio is also available on JioFi devices. These are available at Rs 2,899. Reliance Digital or Digital Xpress Mini stores sell out these affordable devices. To note, these can also be used as Wi-Fi hotspot for up to ten mobile devices.

Reliance is at present in its beta-testing phase while at the same time many other brands were opened for testing last week. It is likely that Reliance Jio commercial service would get launched this year. Reliance is looked upon for bringing a revolution in the data market across the country. The pan-India 4G spectrum is with Reliance, to be remembered.

The other mobile networks however claim that Jio has choked their network under beta-testing, whereas Reliance is performing full-fledged services. They have filed a complaint against Reliance, and demand for immediate action on Reliance Jio. Reliance has denied the charges, stating that the other players are trying to hinder their launch.
