Tatkal registration facility introduced in Tamil Nadu Express Buses

The state Transport Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.R. Vijayabhaskar, informed that the facility of tatkal reservation system will be introduced in the State Transport Corporation’s Express Bus Services.
The minister was making a report to the debate on the fund requirement/subsidy for the Transport Department in the Assembly. The highlights of the report:
In order to monitor and note that vehicles travelling at high speeds on the roads, 10 rangers and high-speed detector - speed radar guns - will be procured and installed at a cost of Rs 95 Lakhs.
New Vehicle Inspection Booths will be set up in Thiruvallur District Palavakkam and Krishnagiri district Kalikoil at a cost of Rs. 40 Lakhs.
The 20 Transport department offices at 20 circles will be provided with multimedia equipment with LED screens at a cost of Rs. 14 Lakhs in order to create awareness and inform the state government programmes and schemes, road safety information, and Road safety rules.
Amma Driving training Institutes will be started to provide training for driving vehicles under the department of Motor vehicle maintenance in the automated depots at Trichy, Madurai, and Salem.
Actions will be taken to commence post-graduation medical courses in the academic year 2018-19 in the Perunthurai Medical College which functions under the control of the Highways department.
Depots which have a record of no death reports in accidents will be selected from each Transport Corporation and a prize of Rs. 2 Lakhs will be awarded.
To enable the passengers who plan urgent, important personal/official travel, tatkal reservation facility will be introduced in the Express Transport Corporation and other long-distance transport Corporations. 4 seats per bus will be reserved for this tatkal quota.
A Mobile App service will be introduced by the Express Transport Corporation and the long distance buses of Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation to book tickets.
