The tenure of the present governor of Tamil Nadu. Mr. Rosaiah, gets over today (Wednesday, 31st August).
The president Pranab Mukherji has issued an order for the appointment of the new governor.
In today’s press release, it is announced that the present governor of Maharashtra, Mr. C.Vidyasagar Rao, will have additional charge as governor of the state of Tamil Nadu as well.
The present governor Mr. Rosaiah is being relieved.It may be noted that it was widely expected that the tenure of Mr. Rosaiah would be extended for another term.
