15.91 lakhs applicants apply online for TNPSCs Group 4 services

15 lakhs and 91 thousand applicants have applied online for Group 4 services of TNPSC. 5451 vacancies have been announced. An average of 291 candidates has applied for 1 post.
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 5,451 posts in various categories under TNPSC Group 4 services for direct recruitment on 9th August. Candidates started applying online from the date of notification. It was mentioned that the last date for applying was 8th September. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission`s (TNPSC) website slowed down almost to a halt on 8th September , which was the last day for submission of online applications for group-4 examination. In view of this the last date of applying was extended to 14th September.
At this juncture, it has been made known that 15 lakhs and 91 thousand applicants have applied online for Group 4 services of TNPSC. Since many have applied twice, the number will come down after the verification which is being done now. This is the first time that large numbers of candidates have applied for these posts.
TNPSC will conduct written exam for the recruitment of 5,451 posts on November 6, 2016.
