One-third of deaths during child delivery occurs in India

A recent survey establishes that out of the number of deaths during maternity delivery in the year 2015, one-third deaths had occurred in India.
In a research-based article published in the England Medical Weekly Lancet. Out of the global deliveries during maternity, 23 percent of the deliveries happen without proper medical assistance.
Further, out of the total deaths of the pregnant mothers during delivery, one-third occurred in India.
In the year 2015 alone, 45000 women died during the delivery in India. Nigeria comes first in the list with 58000 deaths.
It is estimated that every year, around 210 million conceive and only 140 million children are born.
The research-based report also details the activities to be taken to reduce the number of deaths during the delivery.
