Prices of vegetables go up in Koyambedu

The prices of tomatoes and green chilies have gone up in Koyambedu Wholesale market due to short supply.
Retail merchants from Chennai and its suburbs like Tambaram, Pallavaram, Chromepet, Kundrattur and Mangaadu purchase vegetables from Chennai Koyambedu wholesale market. From the time, there were rumours about our late chief minister, the load Lorries did not operate. After the demise of our beloved chief minister the supply of vegetables to Koyambedu market was entirely cut off. Because of this, the prices of vegetables increased yesterday.
Prices of tomatoes, broad beans, carrots, beans, green chilies, drumsticks and greens were sold double fold in Koyambedu Wholesale Market. In view of the foregoing there was less purchases.
