Have you been waiting for the 7th Pay Commission? Well, if yes, this Diwali might not be as exciting as you thought it would. As of now, the Central Government employees who have been expecting some good news from the Pay Commission do not have much to appreciate about.

The central government employees have all been expecting good news to celebrate this Diwali with more fun. The center has however put everything on hold. There are a few discussions being carried out regarding hike in pay, but so far, no such announcement is made.

The pay hike recommended by the 7th Pay Commission was up to Rs 18,000. There were demands to increase it by Rs 8000 and make the minimum pay as Rs 26,000. The government has however not made any announcement in this regard and it is likely that only Rs 2000 will be increased in the minimum pay and make it Rs 20,000.

There were many states that had announced Diwali bonanza. The Central Government employees have sadly not received any such update or announcement yet. So, ultimately, there is no kind of Diwali bonus or hike in payment for the CG employees.

In January, the next hike in pay is likely to be announced by the 7th Pay Commission, say reports. The revised basic pay is announced already and no immediate announcement could be expected for now. So, all the CGs should wait till January for a good info.
