In order to compensate for the government holiday declared on 5th November for the occasion of Deepavali festival providing for successive holidays for the employees, tomorrow (Saturday, 10th November) will be a full-fledged working day in Tamil Nadu government offices.
Actually, Deepavali fell on 5th November and had been declared as a holiday. However, accepting the appeal of all government employees and teachers, the state government of Tamil Nadu declared Monday, 5th November as a holiday to provide 4 successive holidays for the festive occasion. In order to compensate for this holiday on 5th November, 10th November has been declared as a full working day.
It has been ordered that all government offices and government-associated offices will function for a full day on 10th November. In a similar trend, all government and private schools have been instructed to function for a full day on this date.
