Deadline for linking Aadhar card and PF account extended until 10th December

Around 70000 online applications were received by the Regional Office of the Employees Provident Fund since the year 2918. However, only if the Aadhar card is linked with the Provident Fund Account, applications can be made online.
The Commissioner of the Regional Provident Office, explained further that the customers interested in withdrawing the money in their Provident Funds Account and closing it can apply online if they have submitted the KYC (Know Your Customer) details through their employer companies.
However, a majority of subscribers are yet to link their Aadhar cards with their Provident Fund Accounts (UAN - Universal Account Number). For doing this, PF account holders need to visit the website - www.epfindia.gov.in and actuate the UAN. Please note that it is mandatory the Aadhar card details must tally with the PF Account details. Arrangements have been made in various employers’ companies or organizations to extend assistance to the interested customers. It has been advised to the employer organizations to link the Aadhar card details with the respective PF Accounts before 10th December.
The commissioner further informed that the customers having smartphones can download the App and access the details related to the Provident Fund.
