With the prevailing dry climate, prospects of sudden rains

Posted on: 07/Dec/2018 11:17:44 AM
The meteorological centre has estimated that a dry climate will prevail in the coming 4 days. The rains from the northeast monsoon rainy season have been rather intermittent. As compared to the average rainfall in this season over the years, the rainfall has been lesser by 14% in Tamil Nadu and 5% in Puducherry.

In this situation, a dry climate will persist for the next 4 days. The meteorological centre has estimated that with the impact of the monsoon rainy season, a cyclonic zone is likely to be formed over the upper layers of the atmosphere and thus creating the prospects of sudden rains.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure zone has formed over the Bay of Bengal in the equator region. There are prospects of another low-pressure zone to form towards the north of this low-pressure zone on 9th December.

So, the meteorological centre analysts have observed that there are strong prospects of cyclonic format or a heavy depression zone developing on 14th December.
