Bachelor recipe - Vermicelli Egg pulao

Here is one more simple and quick bachelor recipes that anybody can give it a try. This dish makes use of vermecelli which is a very versatile and speed cooking ingredient. We have a nice pulao made along with scrambled eggs. Check out the recipe and you will be astonished as to how a little effort could taste so great. 

Required ingredients
  • Vermicelli – 1 cup
  • Cinnamon – 2 sticks
  • Cloves – 2 No.
  • Cardamom – 2 No.
  • Bay leaf – 1 No.
  • Finely chopped onions – 1 No.
  • Finely chopped tomatoes – 1 No.
  • Ginger garlic paste – ¼ tbsp.
  • Slit green chillies – 1 No.
  • Carrots – 1 No.
  • Green beans – 3 No.
  • Green peas – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – as required
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Water – 1 ¾ cups
  • Oil – a little
  • Eggs – 4 No.
Cooking Method
  • Heat a pan and add ghee
  • Once ghee gets heated, roast the vermicelli until it turns golden brown in color.
  • Reserve the roasted vermicelli aside.
  • Heat the same pan and add oil for frying the vegetables.
  • Add whole spices including cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, and cloves.
  • Once they sputter, add finely chopped onions and fry well.
  • As onions get fried, add green chillies, green peas, beans and carrot.
  • Saute the vegetables altogether for a minute
  • Then add tomatoes and at last add ginger garlic paste.
  • Give a thorough mix of all the ingredients.
  • Now add required amount of salt and turmeric powder.
  • For one cup of vermicelli, add 1.75 to 2 cups of water as per the required consistency. If you want the pulao a little sticky, you can add 2 cups of water, but if you want it dry, 1 ¾ cups will be enough.
  • Allow the water to get boiled.
  • As water gets boiled, add roasted vermicelli and mix well.
  • Simmer the flame and cook for about 5 minutes until the vermicelli gets cooked well.
  • Take a pan and add a little oil.
  • Scramble all the four eggs by adding a little salt and pepper powder.
  • Add this scrambled egg to the vermicelli mix that is prepared already.
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Your fresh, aromatic vermicelli pulao is ready to be served.
  • The pulao can be served all alone without any separate side dish as such.
