A new substation to be set up in Velachery

During the ‘Question Hour’ Session in the Legislative Assembly today, Vagai Chandrasekhar, MLA, DMK, demanded that a new electricity substation should be set up in Velachery.
Minister Thangamani responded:
"1600 new substations have been set up in Tamil Nadu. ‘Presently, the task of laying underground cables is in progress in Velacherry. The MLA has now put up this request. So, this issue will be taken up, A detailed review will be made after collecting the related details and the possibility of setting up a substation in Velacherry will be explored."
