Is the distribution of Pongal gift pack stopped due to High Court Order?

Information is gathered that the distribution of the Pongal gift pack might have been stopped following the High Court Order.
Presently, all the rescue activities/tasks subsequent to the cyclone Gaja and the damage caused by it is still in progress. As such, a person, Daniel from Coimbatore submitted a petition to the court on the issue of Pongal gift pack to all family ration card holders.
The enquiry of the case on this petition came up in the Chennai High Court. After the enquiry, the judges banned the distribution of Rs. 1000 as a part of the Pongal festival Gift to all the family ration card holders.
In other words, the cash of Rs. 1000 will not be given to the white ration card holders.
Following this verdict, the distribution of the Pongal gift pack has been stopped in most ration shops in Tamil Nadu.
