Free travel allowed today (11th Feb) in Chennai Metro Rail

It has been announced that the passengers can travel free in the Chennai Metro Rail today (Monday, 11th February). The higher officials of Chennai Metro informed:
‘Several activities have been initiated by the Chennai Metro Rail authorities in order to encourage the public to use and travel in the Chennai Metro Rail. Due to this, the number of passengers will go up manifolds. The duration to travel between Wasermanpet to the Chennai airport is just 40 minutes!
In order that the awareness of the high utility level of the Chennai Metro Rail system should reach the public, the passengers can travel free up to 11.00 PM tonight (Monday, 11th February). There will be no charges for travelling up to the 45 km distance between the 2 corridors – airport-Washermanpet and Chennai Central-Koyambedu-St. Thomas Mount. A Metro train will be operated every 10 minutes.’
