Mild Earthquake in Chennai - 4.9 Richter registered

There was a mild earthquake which occurred towards the northeast of the Bay of Bengal at 7.02 AM.
The earthquake was measured on the Richter Scale to be 4.9. No other details have been out so far,.
This earthquake was noted and felt in a few places in the Chennai Metro City.
