Dry climate to persist in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of mild rain in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to the convective rain phenomenon.
Generally, the dry climate as of now will prevail in several districts in Tamil Nadu.
As the intensity of the southwest monsoon rainy season has somewhat reduced in the regions of Kerala and Karnataka, the prospects of rain even in the regions adjacent to the Western Ghat mountain range is rather less.
