Renowned educationist Rajalakshmi Parthasarathy passes away

Renowned educationist and Founder of the Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan (PSBB) Group of Schools Rajalakshmi Parthasarathy (93), known by students and well-wishers as Mrs YGP, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at Apollo Hospital in Chennai.
She will be kept for Public Homage in few minutes at Bharat Kalachar, T Nagar. The cremation is scheduled tomorrow!
Her son and actor and theatre personality Y. Gee. Mahendran, said that she had been taken to the hospital on Monday after she complained of breathlessness. She was stable and talking to us. In the afternoon, she asked for something to eat, but then just collapsed. It was a cardiac arrest, he said.
She is a 2010 Padma Shri awardee for her contribution to education and literature.
