Trial flight from new terminal on Monday

The first flight from the new terminal of the international airport will take off on Monday morning. The Indigo airlines flight will be headed to Singapore and will take off at 10 am.
‘The dry run done last month was successful. So, live trials using real passengers are being done. Staff of AAI, customs, immigration and CISF will be posted at the terminal to handle the flight. Travellers will not find any change in check-in procedures as the new terminal will have inline baggage scanning system which will enable passengers to walk in straight to the check in counter without manually scanning their bags on an X-ray machine. All required security gadgets, including inline baggage screening, would be available at the new terminal’, said officials.
