140th Divisional Rail Users’ Consultative Committee held

The 140th Divisional Rail Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meeting of Chennai Division, Southern Railway, was conducted in Chennai on 31.7.2013. Shri P.K. Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager, Chennai Division, Southern Railway. 15 DRUCC members and Divisional Branch Officers attended the meeting.
Smt. G. Gayathri, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Secretary/DRUCC welcomed the members. In his presidential address, the DRM and Chairman of DRUCC briefed about the performance of Chennai Division, train services and passenger amenities related works. Election for one member each for Suburban Rail Users’ Consultative Committee (SRUCC) and Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) was conducted. Shri D. Elangovan, was elected unanimously for Suburban Rail Users’ Consultative Committee and Shri Manohar Kishore was elected by secret ballot voting for Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee.
Members expressed their view, suggestions and laid their grievances in the meeting.
Shri R. Mohan Raja, ADRM/II/MAS, conveyed the Vote of Thanks to the members.
