Prime Minister Narendra Modi: H1B Visas can be renewed in the USA itself henceforth!

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in Washington that the H1B Visa, which permits work in the United States of America, can now be renewed within the United States itself.
H1B Visas are granted in the USA to allow temporary work. After obtaining the H1B Visa, foreigners come to the USA to work there. The technology industry in the USA heavily relies on the issuance of H1B visas for tens of thousands of workers from countries including India and China.
H1B Visas are valid for 3 years and must be renewed thereafter. Until 2004, there was a provision in the USA to renew expired H1B Visas. However, some modifications were made, and presently, foreigners working in the United States of America need to return to their home countries and visit the US Embassies there to renew their H1B Visas. This procedure has caused great hardships for foreign citizens working in the USA.
In the case that a foreigner has an H1B Visa and has worked for 6 years in the USA, they can apply for US citizenship and the green card.
In this situation, the Government of the United States of America has undertaken several activities to change the existing rules and facilitate the renewal of H1B Visas within the USA itself upon expiry.
As part of this effort, the USA is set to introduce the facility to renew H1B Visas at embassies located in major cities. A senior official of the USA informed two days ago that this was being done for the welfare of citizens from other nations.
The new procedure for renewing an H1B Visa would be a boon for students pursuing higher studies in the USA as well as for youth seeking jobs in the USA.
In this scenario, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is visiting the United States of America, addressed Indian migrants at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington DC.
During this address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed them that arrangements have now been made for Indian citizens to renew their H1B Visas within the USA itself.
The President of the USA, Joe Biden, and the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, jointly announced that as a measure to increase economic and technological development through a collaborative effort, the workers, students, and investors of both countries play a significant role.
Furthermore, they emphasized the need to modify the current system to facilitate the renewal of H1B Visas within the USA itself. They also jointly recognized the importance of identifying avenues for further expanding trade, tourism, industrial, and technological exchanges and taking suitable actions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that unprecedented reforms are being carried out to reduce acute poverty levels, which have been decreasing.
Regarding the India-USA relationship, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned that this relationship will shape the destiny of the 21st century. It is not about changing the world to become an ideal place, but it is a strong belief in the power of this relationship.
