In celebration of the upcoming Pongal Holidays, Chennai Metro has announced a special timetable for its services on January 15th, 16th, and 17th, 2024. Commuters can expect adjustments to the regular schedule to accommodate the festive occasion.
Here are the key highlights of the special timetable:
1. Operating Hours:
- Metro services will adhere to the Sunday Timetable during the Pongal Holidays.
- The regular operating hours of Chennai Metro are from 5 AM to 11 PM.
2. Frequency of Metro Trains:
- From 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, metro trains will be available at 10-minute intervals, ensuring convenient travel options during the early morning and evening hours.
- Between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM, the frequency will be reduced to 7-minute intervals, offering efficient transportation throughout the afternoon.
- In the late hours, from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, metro trains will run at 15-minute intervals.
Chennai Metro encourages passengers to plan their journeys accordingly, taking advantage of the adjusted schedule during the festive period. Whether commuting for festivities or daily activities, the modified timetable aims to provide reliable and efficient transportation services.
