With the aim of increasing footfall, the park authorities have introduced Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality application to bring about realistic viewing experience.
With this AR segment, you tend to experience the real thrill of being close to a deer or bear or rabbit or dolphin! There are ferocious crocodiles as well, says G.S. Sameeran, the director of fisheries.
Through VR app, users can tap their iPad to simply get the view of 20 various species of fishes. As you feed the inputs on the iPad, you get the fishes in different colors. Once the user swipes through, the fishes would come to live and start moving around.
Also, the visitors will have the excitement of driving into the jungle in cars that gives no compromise in the excitement here, says Sameeran. You will be overwhelmed and excited to check out the various varieties of species living in their natural habitat. Also, you can get to know about these different species with the help of voice over acting which doubles up at a tour guide.
The speed boat drive!
You can also enjoy riding in a speed boat or in the ocean on a cruise ship! There are going to be dolphins there to skim past, and whales passing by too with splash of water. You will experience all of it in a simple 2 minute show!
People interested in snorkeling can also enjoy it here. You can go deep under the water and get yourself at the centre of many sharks and other aquatic animals. As visitors come in, there will be changes in reactions of the aquatic animals which gives a more of real-time experience.
As far as the Tamil Nadu people are concerned, there are also opportunities to get to know about fabled shrines in the state which includes the Thanjavur Big Temple, Meenakshi Temple n Madurai, and other renowned monuments – all these through the app!
