Google Introduces an Inbuilt Spam Protection to Messages App

Google is just set to introduce a spam protection feature in its Messages App. Based on the information received from the expert information technology inside circles, this spam protection feature is all set go live,

However, the Android Police has reported that many users do not have this feature on their equipment.

The highlights of this new addition can be enumerated as things happened:

  • Google has begun rolling out spam protection feature to the Messages app
  •  Several users were seeing a prompt called "New! Spam protection"
  •  Once introduced, users can disable this feature in the Settings
  •  Google has begun rolling out its spam protection feature to its Messages app on Android after almost over six months of developing it.

Also, most users were seeing a prompt called "New! Spam protection", as soon as they opened the Messages option.

The report further added that this new feature appears to be a server-side and in a limited rollout for now. If the feature is added, it appears with a notification.

There is the option to disable this feature in the Settings as well as the Advanced Menu. The main point of this introduction is to improve Googles ability to detect future spams for users.
