A new App for Post office Banking Services

The Postal Department has introduced a new App to provide the India Post Payment Bank services. The mobile users can download and avail the facilities offered.

In order to extend banking services for the entire citizens of the county, a new banking service, ‘India Post Payment Bank’ was commenced on behalf of the Indian Postal Department.

Savings accounts, current accounts and deposit accounts can be started in the Post office bank. Deposits from a minimum of Rs. 100 to a maximum of Rs. 1 Lakh can be made. There will be no transaction charges in the Post Office Bank service. However, there are no loan or credit card facilities. But all other services provided in other banks will be available. Even the public sector bank customers can avail the services of the Post Office Bank for their transactions with their banks.

Only Aadhar card details are required to open a new savings account in the Post Office Bank.

The Postal Department has introduced the new App IPPB (India Post Payments Bank). This App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

This App would be extremely useful for those who have savings accounts in the India Post Payment Bank. The account and transaction details can be accessed through this App. It is also possible to carry out transactions with other banks.

Regular payments such as electricity bills, mobile bills, telephone bills, internet, and insurance premium charges can be made.  Further, the mobile phone can be linked with Aadhar card details. Changes/corrections regarding nominees, address or e-mail can also be made. Thus, the new App would be extremely useful for the savings account holders in the India Post Payment Bank.
