Southern Railway and Chennai Metro Announce Holiday Schedule for May Day!
Southern Railway has announced that suburban trains will operate tomorrow according to the Sunday schedule in observance of the May Day holiday. Trains from Chennai Central to Arakkonam, Sullurupeta, and Chennai Beach - Chengalpattu, along with suburban trains on the Velachery route, will maintain their regular timetable tomorrow and Sunday.
Similarly, the Chennai Metro Rail Corporation has stated that metro trains will adhere to the Saturday schedule on May 1st, as it is a government holiday and International Workers` Day. Metro services will run from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with trains operating at 6-minute intervals from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additionally, trains will run at 7-minute intervals from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and at 15-minute intervals from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
