500 new words in Oxford English Dictionary

Oxford English Dictionary updates new words every year. This year, 500 new words are getting added to the dictionary. The American president is called by their countrymen as Flotus. This word is also included in the dictionary. Similarly, Photobomb, Jeggings, Yarn bombing, Twitterati, etc are some of the other words newly added.
Twerk is a dance style that gained popularity with American pop singer Miley Cyrus. This word is also added in the revised edition of the dictionary.
Speaking about this, researchers in the language said the word Twerk had been in use in 1820s. This however got outdated later. The word has again gained popularity by Miley Cyrus after which it is newly added in the dictionary.
