The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed us that there are prospects for a low-pressure zone to be formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal!
With the onset of the northeast monsoon rainy season, there has been widespread heavy rain throughout Tamil Nadu! The rainfall so far has exceeded the previous year`s figure for rainfall in Chennai Metro City and the suburban areas.
In this situation, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed us that there are strong prospects for a low-pressure zone to be formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal and the adjacent Sri Lanka areas.
This low-pressure zone is estimated to drift towards northwest Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coastal areas before 11th November!
As such, the Indian Meteorological Department has warned that there are strong prospects for very heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry from 10th November to 12th November.
