Chennai Airport plunged into chaos today as eight flights originating from the city were suddenly canceled, leaving passengers stranded and desperate to rearrange their travel plans. The cancellations affected routes to various destinations, including Salem, Ayodhya, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad.

One of the disrupted flights, a private passenger service scheduled for Salem at 11:20 am, left travelers in a state of panic as they scrambled to find alternative options. The cancellations, which also impacted flights to Jaipur, Ayodhya, and Ahmedabad, were attributed to administrative issues and low passenger numbers.

The cancellation of the Salem-bound flight was reportedly prompted by safety concerns following a public gathering near Salem Airport attended by Prime Minister Modi, organized by the BJP. Additionally, other flights were axed due to insufficient passenger bookings, compounding the inconvenience for travelers.

Passengers with existing bookings faced significant obstacles, necessitating swift action to secure alternative arrangements. This incident highlights the critical importance of robust contingency planning and transparent communication channels between airlines and passengers during unexpected disruptions.

Affected travelers expressed frustration over the lack of timely information and assistance, demanding improved coordination between airlines and authorities to mitigate future disruptions. As scrutiny intensifies on Chennai`s aviation sector, stakeholders are urged to prioritize effective communication and proactive measures to address operational challenges.
