M K Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister announced that the Combined Drinking Water Scheme will be implemented at the cost of Rs 47.74 to bring water from Cauvery to Chennai . Enroute it is planned o benefit Kankeyam Municipality, Vellakoil Municipality and 174 rural habitations. Tenders for which had been called for and the project would be completed in 18 months said M.K. Stalin said on Monday.
