Chennai Metro Rail – 12 coaches arrived: New test-run on 800 metres track!

Chennai Metro Rail Project will have 42 coaches. It was planned that 9 coaches will be manufactured by the company, Alstom, in Brazil, and shipped to Chennai. The balance 33 coaches are to be manufactured at Tada, Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
The 9 coaches from Brazil have already arrived. 3 coaches have transported by truck from Andhra Pradesh and reached Chennai. They are stationed at Koyambedu workshop. These coaches will be subjected to test-tun on the 800 km track laid adjacent.
