Corporation schools get rush of students

M.Subramanian, the
Mayor, Chennai Corporation announced
that within a few days of opening admission
Corporation schools have enrolled 1500 students.
The Mayor was speaking
in an official function held for re- naming the Corporation schools as Chennai Schools .He said that within
next 10 days all the 312 schools run by the corporation would new name boards. The Mayor announced
cash awards for the schools which achieve 100% pass in the public examinations.
An Exhibition has been planned to show case the achievements of the education
department of the corporation on 26th
