Civic Body Students to get Texas based Vocational and Sports Training

As the beneficiary from the sister city agreement authorized amid Chennai Corporation and San Antonio, the second largest city in Texas, US during 2008, it has been promised that San Antonio will impart its prospectus with the corporation to fortify the community college structure.
Currently, Chennai Corporation is dealing with four community colleges, so as to render vocational coaching for the students who are devoid of taking higher education. The colleges at present offers coaching in hospitality services, customer relations and sales and students have put in at jobs with enterprises including Cafe Coffee Day and Dish TV.
San Antonio has a much unbeaten community college training propaganda, which is directly allied to the industries. Our training program is not that much sufficient and also it not up-to-date, said a senior corporation official.
San Antonio is agreeable to reveal their skill with us, so that idle youngsters can get the skill-based training knowledge.
During 1950, the sister city faction took off in a tender to improve the city-to-city affairs both racially and commercially. The deal with San Antonio was endorsed in 2008. Subsequently, during July 2013, Chennai Mayor Saidai Duraisamy and a commission be present at a global sister city conference in San Antonio, to discuss about the renovation of the corporation projects allied to education and development.
San Antonio`s Mayor Julian Castro is very concerned in framing a liaison with Chennai Corporation and to share their skill, officials said.
