No additional charges for season tickets bought before 25th June!

The recently increase train fares become effective from midnight today.
2 special counters are opened in the Central Railway Station and 1 counter in Egmore Railway Station for paying the additional fare for the tickets already reserved.
These special counters will be open from tomorrow, Wednesday, 25th June.
The additional fare can be paid for the reservations already made and receipts obtained.
This additional fare can be made in the normal reservation counters as well. The excess can be paid to the Ticket Examiner at the time of travel also.
As for the season tickets, there would be no necessity to pay any extra amount. They can avail the season ticket for its validity.
The rise in season ticket rates would be effective from tomorrow (25th June). The public can buy the season ticket by paying the new fares at all railway stations.
