Hoardings should get removed in 10 Days: Chennai Corporation!

On Tuesday, the Chennai Corporation has set a deadline of about 10 days to take off the hoardings across the city.

Along with the canvas of the hoardings, it is also necessary to remove its wood and metal frames; we will also sell the steel structures, said the Corporation officials. 

Due to the lack of the equipment and manpower, the civic body is not able to withstand its promises on removing the hoardings as most of them are solidly erected frames. 

Hoardings have crop up all over the city, chiefly at vantage places like Anna Salai, in Adayar, Nungambakkam, Kotturpuram Bridge and Chetpet Bridge. 

On Tuesday, Vikram Kapoor, Corporation Commissioner has ordered the three regional deputy commissioners in assistance with the Chennai collectorate, to eliminate all the hoardings.

The corporation has resolute to obtain strict action hostile to printers who generate billboard banners. It also solicited the printers to cite their names, the names of candidate who laid the order and the consent number given by the district collectorate, on the bottom left side of the sign board.

To file the grievance on illicit hoardings across the city, public can buzz, 1913, said the corporation officials.
