Metro Rail Head office will be constructed in Nandanam in 10 acres

Metro Rail Project Office has been functioning in Gopalapuram till now. As the construction at Koyambedu has been completed, this Gopalapuram office will be shifting to Koyambedu.
The main control room at this centre will monitor all the metro stations, the tracks, and the movement of the trains.
As the administration has been shifted to Koyambedu, 200 employees have started working here.
Even this step is only temporary. Metro Office is scheduled to be constructed in Nandanam area covering 10 acres.
The construction activities will commence after obtaining approval from the Chennai Metropolitan Development authorities and air traffic authorities.
Metro Rail Head Office will be a 20 to 25 Storey Building to be constructed in a gigantic scale. Once the work on the new head office gets completed, all the offices functioning now in Koyambedu except the control centre will be shifted to this head office.
