Leak in a pipeline at Minjur desalination plant disrupts water supply in North Chennai

Madhavaram, Manali, Thiruvottiyur, Ernavoor, Kathivakkam and Patel Nagar did not receive water due to the leak in a pipeline at Minjur desalination plant on Friday. The desalination plant at Kattupalli near Minjur has a capacity to treat 100 million litres of seawater a day . Officials said workers were repairing the pipeline and water supply would resume by midnight.
