SC Orders Selection of 83 Persons in 2005 Group -1 Exam NOT VALID

The examination for Group-1 service was conducted in 2005 and 83 persons got selected. However, one Mr. Natarajan appealed to the Chennai High Court to announce these selections as invalid.
On hearing the case, Chennai High Court confirmed that there were irregularities in the selection and cancelled the appointment of all 83. On behalf of the 83 persons selected, an appeal was made to the Supreme Court to review this case.
On hearing the details of the case, Supreme Court confirmed Chennai High Court’s order that the selection of 83 persons for Group-1 service as invalid.
